The Republic of Indonesia stretches across an archipelago consisting of more than 17,000 islands and is the fourth most populous country on earth with approximately 230 million people. The mind-boggling number of cultures, environments, and adventures to be had here could keep someone busy for several lifetimes, although most tourists tend to concentrate on the island of Bali.
